Who we are
Conaction with Germany and Balkans
The aim of the Center for Cooperation and Exchange is, on the one hand, to promote and strengthen transnational exchange and mutual understanding between the countries of the Western Balkans, Hungary and Germany. In order to strengthen the connections and cooperation, the activities of the Center aim at supporting and networking civil society actors. Therefore, the programmes and activities aspire to improve the education and training of civil society actors. We strongly believe that promoting exchange and networking is the key to achieving our goals. This task area includes strengthening and qualifying (civil) society actors in South Eastern Europe and Germany as well as raising awareness among the population in Germany about developments in South Eastern Europe.
On the other hand, innovative social processes are initiated and strengthened within the framework of international cooperation in order to deal with current social problem situations. In principle, the work of the association is oriented towards the promotion of minorities, children’s and women’s rights (gender mainstreaming) and the implementation of inclusive forms of action wherever possible.
What we work for
Since the enlargements of the European Union in 2004 and 2007, the process of the EU-Integration of the countries of South Eastern Europe has stalled. At the same time, with the internal crisis of the European Union and Brexit, the general interest in the countries of Eastern and South-Eastern Europe and attention to political and social developments beyond the Berlin Process seem to have declined. The lack of a concrete EU agenda creates even more uncertainty for the future of especially youngsters, who have found comfort in migrating to other European countries causing a brain drain that hadn’t been experienced in the western Balkans since the early and the late 90’s.
Our Mission
We define our mission to help civil society actors to build capacities in order to face the common challenges in our modern society and to mutually support each other in pressing social issues of modern societies. We will furthermore focus our work on issues affecting marginalized groups that experience inequality in education and labor market, underrepresentation in government and administration, as well as other areas of relevance.
Our Vision
Our Goals is to reconnect the societies of the Western Balkans, Hungary and Germany to bring the strong interconnections back to life by creating platforms for dialogue…

We, as a Center aspiring to enhance cooperation and exchange, have dedicated members from different fields of expertise such as political and computer science, economics and public administration. With a multinational personal, we speak the language of the countries we lay our focus on. Therefore, we have a strong cultural affiliation with the Western Balkans, Hungary and Germany.
